Before You Book

How much does luxury vinyl installation cost?

Every project is unique, so we provide custom quotes based on your square footage, subfloor condition, layout complexity, and material choice. We offer a free in-home consultation where we assess everything in person and provide a detailed, transparent proposal - no hidden costs, no surprise upcharges. Most residential projects fall in a range that reflects the master-level preparation and precision we bring to every install.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes - every project begins with a complimentary in-home assessment. We inspect your subfloor, measure moisture levels, discuss your vision and material preferences, and provide a full written proposal within 48 hours. There's absolutely no obligation.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance, though availability varies by season. Spring and fall are our busiest periods. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility we have with scheduling.

Do I need to supply the flooring material, or do you provide it?

We provide the material, however if you already bought it, we will install it as well.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Tampa, South Tampa, Hyde Park, Davis Islands, Bayshore, Channelside, Westshore, Carrollwood, Wesley Chapel, Brandon, and surrounding areas within Hillsborough County. For larger projects, we'll travel further - just ask.
The Process

How long does a typical installation take?

It depends on the scope: a single room or kitchen can be done in 1–2 days. A full home (2,000+ sq ft) typically takes 4–6 days, including our extensive subfloor preparation. We'll give you a precise timeline in your proposal.

Do I need to move my furniture?

This is included in our service for a minimal cost.

Why do you spend so much time on subfloor preparation?

Because the subfloor is the only thing that matters. A beautiful floor installed on an uneven subfloor will squeak, shift, and develop gaps within months. We grind high spots, fill low spots, check moisture, and test every inch with a straightedge. This is the work that separates a 2-year floor from a 20-year floor - and it's what the "fast" installers skip.

Can I stay in my home during installation?

Absolutely. LVP installation is much less disruptive than hardwood or tile. There's no harsh chemical smell, no sanding dust, and no extended dry times. We work room by room so you always have functional living space.

What about my pets?

We love pets - and LVP loves them too. We just ask that dogs and cats are kept in a separate room or area while we're actively working, for their safety and ours. Bonus: luxury vinyl is one of the most pet-friendly flooring materials on the market. Scratch-resistant, waterproof, and easy to clean.
About Luxury Vinyl

Is luxury vinyl really waterproof?

Yes - 100% waterproof, when properly installed. Rigid-core SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) vinyl will not swell, warp, or buckle from water exposure. This makes it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and Florida homes where humidity is a constant factor. The key is proper installation - especially seam integrity and expansion gaps.

Will it look like "fake wood"?

Not when we install it. Modern premium LVP features deep embossed textures, registered grain patterns, and matte finishes that are virtually indistinguishable from real hardwood - even to the touch. The difference comes down to installation quality: tight seams, proper transitions, and eliminating the "floating floor" feel through meticulous subfloor prep.

How long does luxury vinyl last?

Premium rigid-core LVP with a 20mil+ wear layer will last 20–30 years in residential settings with normal use. Commercial-grade (28mil+) can handle even higher traffic. The wear layer protects against scratches, stains, and fading. Proper installation is what determines whether you get 5 years or 25 years out of the same material.

Why choose LVP over hardwood or tile?

LVP gives you the aesthetic of hardwood with the durability of tile - at a price point that's often 30–50% less. It's 100% waterproof (hardwood isn't), warmer underfoot than tile, softer on joints, and virtually scratch-proof. For Florida homes with pets, kids, and humidity, it's the smartest choice available. The only catch? It has to be installed correctly - and that's where we come in.
Trim Work

Do we need to find someone else to do the trim work?

No, we do all the trim work. It's included in the estimate.
After Installation

How do I care for my new LVP floor?

LVP is incredibly low maintenance. Sweep or vacuum regularly (use the hard floor setting), and mop with a damp mop and a pH-neutral vinyl cleaner. Avoid steam mops, abrasive cleaners, and excessive water pooling. Use felt pads under furniture legs. That's it - no refinishing, no resealing, no waxing. Ever.

Do you offer a warranty or guarantee?

Yes - we stand behind every install with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We perform a final walk-through with you and don't consider the job complete until you've approved every inch. If any installation-related issue arises, we come back and make it right. Period.

Can LVP be repaired if a plank gets damaged?

Yes. One of the great advantages of LVP is that individual planks can be replaced without disturbing the rest of the floor. We always recommend keeping a few extra boxes of your material after installation for this exact reason. If you need a repair, we can swap out damaged planks quickly and seamlessly.

Will heavy furniture dent the vinyl?

Rigid-core SPC is extremely dent and indent resistant - far more than WPC (wood polymer composite) vinyl. That said, we always recommend furniture pads under heavy pieces. Avoid dragging furniture directly across the surface, and use wide, non-rubber casters on rolling chairs.
